As this document, which has just been released, is so important, I am posting it without major commentary.
Under this plan for redundancies, and other changes, UTAS will no longer support a strong programme in the core disciplines of History, Philosophy, Sociology, Politics, Literature, Languages, or the Creative Arts, and consequently will be unable to attract high quality staff or students in these areas.
Along with its determination to continue moving to the the CBD, UTAS management will kill the University as a quality institution that Tasmanians can be proud of.
