Sue Hickey is, like VC Rufus Black, an acolyte of Peter Rathjen and fanatical supporter of UTAS’ CBD move (see the letter to Rathjen at the end of this post).

Until two weeks ago Hickey was employed by UTAS.

Independent – no way!

Hickey claims the Sandy Bay campus is run down – a deliberate and cynical strategy by UTAS management to leverage the CBD move and easily rectified – a strategy that also reflects zero regard for the welfare of students and staff on the Sandy Bay campus.

UTAS should start by reversing, the illegal, needless and needlessly costly move of the College of Business and Economics to the CBD.

Here are some comments I made on Hickey in 2022.

Oh, and by the way, to those of you who are enamoured of the Rathjen/Black/Hickey agenda, listening to Black on ABC on 6 March last year, and in person at the Canberra Alumni function last night, I’ve no doubt he sees himself as the ‘smartest person in the room’, and able to manipulate you all.
